Trident technical College is a two-year college that is based in Charleston, South Carolina. The school is officially part of the South Carolina Technical College System, and each semester upwards of 12,000 students enroll.
Most of the students are working toward transferable associate’s degrees, technical associate’s degrees, diplomas and certificates.
The college has also started to offer week-long training courses in micro-subjects. Trident Technical College offers summer culinary classes, which is one of over 100 week-long courses that are offered during the summer months through the Trident’s Kids’ College.

Kids between the ages of 7 and 17 can take half-day classes in a wide variety of different subjects including culinary arts, science, and computer related courses.
The college director, Michele Shinn said that a majority of the kids who enroll in the Trident Kids’ College are between the ages of 8 and 11.
