There are lots of things that teenagers do not like, but having to stay in while their friends have a ball is probably the worse. Have you ever been called and asked to go out, only to find out your parents will not let you?
Many people have been in the same situation and it certainly is not a good place to be. What needs to happen is you need to gain your parents trust and persuade them to let you go out, rather than arguing and moaning about it.
#1 Trust
Trust issues are something that many parents have. They know their children want to experience life and are likely to get into trouble, so they try to avoid letting them out when they feel they will get in a mess.
If this is the case, then explain why you want to go out and tell them where you will be and what time. It is a two way street, you trust them and they trust you.
#2 Get your own cash
Part of going out is watching a movie, going to the local fast food shop, or buying a drink and some sweets and having a laugh in the local park. Do not rely on your parents to give you money, instead try and earn it so this is not something they can say no to. They have every right to not give you money, so earn it!
#3 Contact
The worst thing for a parent is worrying about letting their child out, then not hearing from them for hours on end. Do not underestimate how worried your parents get. Explain to them you will call them at lunch time, dinner time or whenever, just make sure you stay in contact!
#4 Timing
Do not be unreasonable. If you are 15 years old, then asking to go to the park until 12 o clock is probably not likely to yield much of a result!
