Here are five of the best reasons why HP Hurricane can compete with the newly released iPad.
#1 Adobe Flash
Apple will continue to persuade people against the likes of HP products and Adobe Flash. The reality is that a lot of people want to use these products and by not introducing this with the iPad, they have made a fundamental error.
#2 Cameras
A tablet device can be considered as slightly big, but in reality, the ability to take pictures can be extremely convenient. Of course, a lot of people would argue the fact that smartphones have taken over the need for a normal camera, but I tend to disagree. The quality is certainly not there in all cases.
#3 Expansion
The thing with the iPad is that it lacks USB ports, not to mention the likes of SD memory slots. Whilst consumers see it as technologically advanced, in reality, it is extremely simple. If the HP Hurricane were to offer consumers USB port and SD memory card slot, then they would have a huge advantage.
#4 Distribution of products
Whilst Apple seems to be everywhere, in reality, they are nothing compared to HP. HP branding means that their distribution channels have gone from fairly small, to something that almost no company in the technology industry can compete with. So it is fair to say that they are likely to be able to get it in front of a lot more consumers than Apple.
#5 HP branding as a whole
Whilst HP does not have the brand image that Apple has created in such a short time, HP does have a long established and loyal customer base. It seems to be more of a one stop shop for commercial clients rather than residential users, although HP products are still extremely popular in the home. Most people’s belief is that HP can blow the iPad out of the water, and I tend to agree!
